Aerospacer’s Global Aviation Journey.

In 2009, fresh out of Indiana Aerospace University with a Bachelor of Science in Aircraft Maintenance Technology, I was eager to launch my career in aviation. Aircraft had fascinated me since childhood—their complexity, the precision required to keep them airborne, and the immense responsibility of ensuring passenger safety. That passion led me to Lufthansa Technik Philippines, where I took my first steps into the world of aircraft maintenance.

At Lufthansa, I honed my technical skills, working on various aircraft types, troubleshooting intricate mechanical issues, and learning from some of the best in the industry. The fast-paced environment, the scent of jet fuel, and the hum of engines roaring back to life—it all deepened my love for the job. But after a few years, I felt the need to challenge myself further.

Singapore Airlines became my next destination. Moving to Singapore was a leap of faith, but one that paid off. At SIA, I worked with cutting-edge aircraft, adapting to new technologies and industry standards. The experience broadened my perspective, exposing me to a globalized aviation environment. I gained deeper insights into operational efficiency, reliability engineering, and the rigorous standards of one of the world’s top airlines.

Still, something inside me yearned for more—not just a new challenge, but a new horizon. Canada became the next chapter. The transition wasn’t easy; the climate alone was a stark contrast to the warm tropics I had known. But the Canadian aviation industry had its own appeal—diverse aircraft fleets, stringent Transport Canada regulations, and unparalleled opportunities for growth.

Earning my Transport Canada M2 and S licenses was a milestone—a testament to the years of experience I had built. With these certifications, I fully integrated into the Canadian aviation sector, ensuring aircraft met the highest safety and operational standards. I joined Air Canada, where I worked on a variety of aircraft in extreme weather conditions, gaining invaluable experience in cold-weather operations, de-icing procedures, and Canadian aviation regulations.

Today, I continue my journey as a Quality Inspector at Bombardier Aerospace, a world leader in aircraft manufacturing. In this role, I ensure that every aircraft meets the highest standards of safety, compliance, and performance before it takes to the skies. My years of experience in maintenance, troubleshooting, and regulatory compliance allow me to contribute to Bombardier’s legacy of excellence.

Looking back, my career has been one of continuous learning, adaptation, and perseverance. From the bustling hangars of Manila to the state-of-the-art facilities in Singapore, the dynamic environment at Air Canada, and now the precision-driven world of aircraft manufacturing at Bombardier, every step has reinforced my dedication to aviation.

And the journey isn’t over yet. The sky is still the limit.

If you’re passionate about aviation, take that first step. A degree like the Bachelor of Science in Aircraft Maintenance Technology can open doors to a world of opportunities. Keep learning, embrace the challenges, and never stop reaching for new heights. Where will your aviation journey take you?
