Indiana Aerospace University’s Grade School Department offers Grades 1 to 6 students a holistic education to nurture their spiritual, academic, technical, and interpersonal skills and values. Through a range of well-structured curricular and co-curricular programs, we ensure that students are well-prepared to face the challenges of the modern world and are equipped to grow into responsible, compassionate, and well-rounded individuals.

Guided by the policies and standards set by the Department of Education (DepEd), our Grade School Program strictly adheres to DepEd’s guidelines on curriculum implementation, teacher qualifications, and learner well-being. This ensures that students benefit from high-quality, inclusive, and child-centered education while meeting the national standards for academic excellence and values formation.

A Values-Centered Education Rooted in Faith

As a proud member of the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP), Indiana Aerospace University integrates Catholic teachings and values into its Grade School Program. We emphasize the importance of spiritual growth alongside academic achievement, helping students build a strong moral foundation and a deep sense of purpose.

Through daily prayers, Holy Mass, catechism classes, and outreach programs, students are encouraged to develop a meaningful relationship with God and embrace kindness, compassion, and service to others. Our aim is to form individuals who are academically capable, spiritually grounded, and socially responsible.

A Well-Rounded Education for Your Child

Indiana Aerospace University recognizes that the formative years are crucial in shaping a child’s future. That’s why our Grade School Department emphasizes a balanced approach to education, combining academic rigor with opportunities for co-curricular growth, including clubs, sports, and arts programs.

We also nurture essential life skills such as critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration, ensuring students develop holistically. Values like respect, responsibility, perseverance, and inclusiveness are integrated into our daily lessons and activities, preparing students to thrive in a rapidly changing world.

Implementation of the MATATAG Curriculum

In the 2024-2025 school year, Indiana Aerospace University will implement the MATATAG Curriculum for Kindergarten, Grade 1, and Grade 4. Launched by the Department of Education under the leadership of Secretary of Education and Vice President Sarah Duterte, this curriculum introduces significant improvements to address key challenges in the current K-12 system.

The MATATAG Curriculum focuses on:

  • Streamlining learning content to ensure students master essential competencies.
  • Equipping students for the future with job-ready skills and active citizenship.
  • Promoting learner well-being through inclusive and positive learning environments.
  • Supporting teachers with the tools and resources needed to deliver quality education.

By addressing issues such as overcrowded content and misplaced prerequisites, the MATATAG Curriculum ensures that students receive a focused, relevant, and effective education while allowing time for enrichment and personal growth.

Subjects and Learning Experiences

The MATATAG Curriculum includes carefully curated subjects to enhance core knowledge, creativity, and critical thinking skills. In addition to academic subjects, students engage in co-curricular and extracurricular activities such as spiritual retreats, outreach programs, sports, and club participation. These experiences foster their growth and help them discover and develop their talents and interests.
